I'm a third-year computer science PhD student in the EECS Department at the University of California, Berkeley. I am working jointly with David Culler and Michael I. Jordan as a member of the AMPLab.

My research interests are in machine learning and optimization. I am particularly interested in applications that relate to energy and sustainability.

As an undergraduate I attended the University of Virginia, receiving a double-major in math/statistics and computer science. My thesis work with Kamin Whitehouse focused on developing thermal models of buildings to enable energy-efficient control.
