My research designing light trapping textures for solar cells is supported by the Light-Material Interactions in Energy Conversion "EFRC" a collaboration between Lawrence Berkeley Lab, Caltech, UIUC, and Harvard, funded by the Department of Energy.

The MIT infrared birefringence work was done in collaboration with the Fraunhofer Institute for Mechanics of Materials in Halle, Germany, where I spent a summer through the support of MISTI-Germany.

Some food for thought. I've worked with Science Club for Girls in Cambridge, MA, doing science experiments with first and second grade girls and the Technovation Challenge in San Francisco, helping high school girls program mobile phone apps.

Berkeley is a fun place: bouldering rock gym near Berkeley, delicious bubble tea, and salted caramel macaroons.
