I am currently a PhD student at the EECS department, University of California Berkeley working in the BASICS group under Prof.Kannan Ramachandran.
I graduated with a Masters in Telecommunication from the prestigious Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, India in July 2008. I worked with Prof.P.Vijay Kumar. My area of research has been primarily on developing energy efficient detection algorithms for wireless sensor networks. I have also worked on hop-count based self-localization algorithms for sensor networks. This has been joint work with Prof.Anurag Kumar.
My research interests include, but are not limited to:
- Wireless networks.
- Distributed Detection and Estimation.
- Iterative algorithms, Belief Propagation.
- Communication Complexity.
- Information theory.
I worked in Juniper Networks India Pvt. Ltd. from Jul-2008 to Jul-2009 where I worked on the packet forwarding engine of Juniper's recently launched "Hurricane" switches.
