Brief Bio
I am a fifth-year graduate student pursuing a Ph.D degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at the University of California, Berkeley. I am currently working with my advisor, Prof. Anant Sahai. I received my M.S. degree from Berkeley in May, 2005.

Before coming to Berkeley, I spent four memorable years at the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay and graduated with a B.Tech. degree in Electrical Engineering in 2003. Among other things at IIT Bombay, I was lucky to get the opportunity to work with Prof. D. Manjunath and Prof. N. Hemachandra.
Research Interests
My broad areas of interest are Wireless Communications, Information theory and Coding theory. In my masters thesis, I explore fundamental limitations to low SNR detection due to uncertainty. Presently I am working on problems relating to opportunistic spectrum use. I am a part of the spectrum sharing group within the Wirelss Foundations research center.
