I am a scientist in Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory's Environmental Energy Technologies Division in Berkeley, CA.
My current research areas include:
- New, low cost sensors for electricity, gas and water use
- The use of advanced wireless energy data collection systems
- The reliability and security of low-cost communication media for energy data
- Enabling loads to respond to macro or micro grid conditions in seconds
- The energy use of electronics
- Translating large energy data sets into useful information
- Providing technical support to EPA's Energy Star program
