I am a PhD candidate in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences at the University of California, Berkeley working with Ruzena Bajcsy with an expected graduation date of May 2012. Prior to working on my PhD, I graduated Highest Honors with a BS in Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences and an Honors Degree in Physics from the University of California, Berkeley in May 2006 and an MS in Electrical Engineering in May 2009.

My fields of expertise are computer vision, hybrid dynamical systems, optimal control theory, and robotics. My research focuses on the development of theory to guarantee the safety and ease of operation of systems that are capable of determining whether they are being misused by employing sensing devices to model their users and are then able to intervene in the operation of their user if they detect danger. You can read more about my research by visiting my Research Interests page or by reading my papers.
