New Orleans Main Page Hey! Here are the pictures I took on our trip to 'The Outer Banks'. The outer banks are 130 miles of barrier islands arcing into the Atlantic Ocean. The most fascinating thing is that the islands are very narrow and connected to each other, so that it is possible to drive straight for a long time, while having water on its left and right. People who have been to Sylt in the North Sea will see many familiar landscapes...
