  1. Review of the proposed policy and plan on Data Management, Use, and Protection defined by the Data Stewardship Council (specific request from IS&T and the EVPC) (10 min, David Messerschmitt)

·        Participate in academic aspects of the long range Information Technology Strategic Plan (primarily regarding research and education)

·        Develop guidelines for best practices involving computing, computing support, and administration thereof within academic departments

 

·        Establishing, or being, a conduit for concerns of students and faculty to the administrative bodies concerning computing

 

·        Funding structure for computing needs on the campus (primarily faculty and students)

 

·        Information technology fluency in undergraduate education [background]
