I am a research scientist at Facebook AI Research. I am the project lead of Facebook's object and scene recognition engine. Prior to this I was a researcher at Adobe's Advanced Technology Labs reporting to David Salesin. I have been working in Adobe's ATL for 13 years. Some of my work has resulted in features for Acrobat, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere and Photoshop Elements. Check out my personal web site for more on my projects.
I have a Master's Degree in Computer Science from Brown University (coadvised by Prof. Andy van Dam and Prof. John Hughes) and a Ph.D. in Computer Science at U.C. Berkeley (advised by Prof. Jitendra Malik). My recent research interests are on detection, segmentation, 3D-pose estimation, action recognition and attribute classification of people and other categories using poselets.
My slighly outdated CV is available here.
