How to catch a bat

1) Observe the bat carefully and take a few pictures with a digital camera.

2) Give the bat a girl's name to make it seem less threatening, like Emily.  Whisper to her that she is pretty and that you won't hurt her.

3) Wait until the bat is on a smooth surface and sneak up on the bat with a small cell phone box.

4)  Very slowly place the box over the bat and against the wall.  Now place a folder between the wall and the box.

Carefully shift the box to a vertical position, keeping the folder in place.  Place your psych 101 book on top of it.

5) Bring the box to the woods on North Campus and release Emily into the wild.
