Welcome!
I am currently a graduate student at UC Berkeley in the Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences Department. I am a member of the Par Lab and am working on Tessellation, a manycore client operating system. My advisor is John Kubiatowicz. I am also a member of the Swarm Lab and am involved in the Swarm OS project.
My primary research interests are in the topics of operating systems and computer architecture. Recently, my interests are in exploring OS and hardware support for low-overhead user-level thread scheduling and user-level memory management. Such customization could lead to improved application performance and reduced energy consumption, but simply identifying the correct scheduler and/or memory management strategy for a particular application is a non-trivial endeavor. I am also interested in OS and hardware support for resource guarantees and resource management, particularly in a distributed scenario with intermittently connected resources.
