Welcome
It is widely believed that access to technology can provide
the world's 1.2 billion poor more opportunities to improve their lives. We
believe that cell phones, with their growing market in developing regions,
are an ideal platform for delivering appropriate applications in the areas of
health and education to rural communities. We are studying the use of
interactive, speech-based interfaces for such applications and for this, have
ported CMU's Sphinx-3.5 Recognizer for Large-Vocabulary Continuous Speech
Recognition to the mobile platform. You can download it here .
