I'm a second-year Ph.D. student in Computer Science at the University of California, Berkeley. I work in the Natural Language Processing Group with Professor Dan Klein.
I am interested in all sorts of things involving language, computers, and statistics, but recently I've been focused on learning how data in one language can help with tasks in another. Thus far, this idea has just been applied to parsing, but I'm trying to extend it to a more general framework, first for machine translation, and maybe eventually for other tasks, such as grammar induction and information extraction.
