I received my Ph.D. degree in 2008 from the University of Toronto, Canada. I am currently working as a research scholar at the EECS Department of the University of California, Berkeley collaborating with Prof. Lotfi A. Zadeh on “Similarities in Fuzzy Data Mining”. My research includes building tools for Natural Language Processing applications using Soft Computing and Machine Learning including Unsupervised Generative Models, Graph Based Learning Methods, as well as Fuzzy Logic, Neural Networks, Genetic Algorithms and Support Vector Machines.
