I'm a Ph.D. candidate in Computer Science at UC Berkeley. I am a member of the Berkeley Natural Language Processing Group, working under Dan Klein.

Research

I am interested in getting computers to do things with language, like Speech Recognition, Machine Translation, and Parsing.

I received my Bachelor's degree from University of British Columbia in Computer Science and Physics. There, I worked under Giuseppe Carenini and Raymond Ng on multi-document summarization. Back when I planned to be a physicist, I also did some work on simulation of near-Earth meteroids under Brett Gladman.

    Code

I wrote a Java toolkit for efficiently storing large amounts of n-grams, which you can download here here and read about here.
