I was born in Milan, in April 1978, and grew up in Padova (Italy).
I attended the Scientific 'Liceo' E. Curiel (Padova), and graduated in July 1997, with final grade 60 over 60 cum laude.
I studied at the University of Padova, earning the 'Laurea' Degree in 'Electronics Engineering', with focus on 'Control and Automation'.
While an undergraduate, I spent one year, as a visiting student, at the EECS Department of the University of California, at Berkeley (USA),
and six months at the Rheinishe Westfaelishe Technische Hochschule, in Aachen (Germany). I graduated in October 2002,
with final grade 110/110 summa cum laude.
I was then accepted in graduate school at UC Berkeley, and got an MS in May 2004 and a PhD in the Fall of 2007, both
in Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences, working as a Graduate Student Researcher on Systems and Control Theory.
Currently, I am a PostDoctoral Researcher at Stanford University, in the Department of
Aeronautics and Astronautics (also being affiliated with the Department of Pathology, Stanford University School of Medicine), working on Systems Biology.
