The Bay Area Day on Signals, Information, and Control Symposium (BAD) is an annual one-day research symposium alternately held at UC Berkeley and Stanford. The purpose of the symposium is to foster interactions between researchers at Berkeley, Stanford, and in the local industry. The themes of the symposium include Signal and Image Processing, Wireless Communications, Information Theory, Optimization, Medical Imaging, and Network Theory and Algorithms.

This year, UC Berkeley will host the symposium on Friday, June 2, 2006. Organized by Michael Gastpar and David Tse from Berkeley, and Balaji Prabhakar and Tsachy Weissman from Stanford, the symposium will feature a series of invited talks along with a poster session. This event is sponsored by Qualcomm.

Registration will close at noon on Wednesday, May 31, 2006.
