EECS Department Peer Advising
From left to right: Paroma Varma, Dennis Li, Hina Sakazaki
Our peer advisers are the first point of contact for students when visiting our offices. They provide advice, support, and motivation to students on a broad range of topics and issues including: student involvement, registration information, major requirements, research opportunities, internship searches, and much more. We believe that a student.s perspective is valuable in helping other students make decisions about life at Cal. Please visit our peer advisers during their office hours or contact them via email.

Hina joins us after becoming CSUA President and brings a wealth of knowledge as an Economics and CS double major, and is particularly adept at complicated academic program planning as a result. She also gave a great presentation at last year's faculty retreat. She enjoys playing trombone with the University Orchestra and co-facilitating the Video Games Decal for the Fall 2013 semester.
Wednesday: 9-11am, 4-6pm
Dennis is one of a growing number of EECS to L&S CS transfers. Dennis would be too modest to admit that he's been a finalist or winner in several hackathons, has significant technical interview and internship experience, and even worked within our very own IT department. He is also an avid athlete, and fraternity member.
