Commencement Ceremonies and Convocations

There are three ceremonies held to honor those completing their Bachelor's degree during the 2008-2009 academic year. Attendance and participation in any of these events is voluntary.

• Graduation Convocation: An all-campus ceremony held in early December. All Fall graduates who are unable to attend a May departmental commencement ceremony are welcomed to participate in this event. Find more information at http://seniors.berkeley.edu/
• Senior Convocation: (University-wide commencement ceremony) An annual all campus event where graduating seniors from all academic disciplines are given a time to come together to celebrate their achievements at UC Berkeley. No names are called and diplomas are not distributed. The convocation will be held on Sunday, May 16, 2010, 2:00 pm at the Hearst Greek Theater. Ticket details will be available in early 2009. • College and Departmental graduation ceremonies are held beginning in mid-May. A full list of all ceremonies can be found at http://seniors.berkeley.edu/.
