The EECS Research Partner Program

The Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences invites corporations and other institutions with substantial activities in electronics and computer science-related research to become a Research Partner.  The Research Partner Program provides continuing support for research in electrical engineering and computer science areas such as networking, multimedia, software design, microfabrication technologies, microelectronic devices and circuits, communications, computation, signal processing, wireless systems, control, and many others.

Your company can gain EECS Research Partner status with a minimum annual grant to the Department of $100K (effective July 1, 2013), which is devoted to support of faculty research.  Research Partners are full members of the Silver Industrial Liaison Affiliates Program (formerly ILP).
Companies who gift:

  • $100,000 will be named Gold Research Parthers
  • $500,000 will be named Platinum Research Partners. Platinum Research Partners will also have the privilege to host 2 additional recruiting events per year.

The balance of the annual gift will support research projects of relevance and interest to the partner. A portion of this gift will be devoted to departmental support of new faculty, new program initiatives, shared facilities and equipment, dissemination of results, and the like.  Please check individual EECS Department faculty web pages to determine which faculty member you would like to work with.
