Biography: Wayne Niblack
Wayne Niblack is manager of the Information Summarization and Text Analytics Department of the WebFountain Project at the IBM Almaden Research Center. His department is developing software systems for large/web scale document parsing, analysis, understanding, and retrieval. His previous work includes managing and developing systems for web crawling, analysis of office documents, image analysis, automated visual inspection and remote sensing. He has a BS degree from Georgia Tech and an MS degree from the University of Texas.
