The Integrated Modeling Process and Computation for Technology (IMPACT) research center brings together 20 leading Companies in integrated circuit design and manufacturing with researchers from three University of California Campuses. Our sponsors include world-class equipment makers, chip manufacturers, foundries, design automation companies, and fab-less design houses. Our objective is to create innovative solutions that will remove the bottlenecks between circuit design and manufacturing that will enable the extraordinary pace of the electronics revolution to continue. We work on chip design methods that are insensitive to process variability, detailed modeling of manufacturing processes, novel technologies, and metrology methods.
