Jan Awrejcewicz came to EECS as a visiting scholar for Professor Leon O. Chua from January 03, 2001 until September 30, 2001.
Babak Ayani was a visiting scholar under Professor Jean Walrand from September 01, 2000 until May 01, 2001.
Dr. Marika Domenica Di Benedetto
Dr. Marika Di Benedetto came to EECS as a visiting scholar for Professor Shankar Sastry from September 28, 1999 until December 10, 1999 and again on September 12, 2000 until November 10, 2000. She worked on nonlinear control systems.
Domenico "Mimmo" Campolo worked under Professor Ronald Fearing to research switching control of piezoelectric Actuators for a micro-mechanical flying insect. He was here from March 15, 2000 until March 31, 2001.

Johan Eker came to EECS as a visiting scholar to do research on implementation, design and simulation of real-time control systems. He was here from January 01, 2001 until December 31, 2001.
Gilles Guerasimoff worked to improve his knowledge of Ptolemy software of implementation of a dataflow domain in the Ptolemy software release II regarding the implementation of release I. He was here from June 12, 2001 until September 07, 2001.

Donghui Guo worked in the lab of Professor Leon O. Chua as a visiting scholar from January 01, 2001 until June 31, 2001. He was working on developing CNN-based models of biologically realistic retina and higher brain functions.
Carlos Loyo came here to work on cryoelectronics with Professor Theodore Van Duzer from September 05, 2000 until July 05, 2001.
Kenichi Nakashi was working on low-power, high-efficiency power supply systems and low-power integrated circuits design with Professor Seth Sanders. He was here from April 01, 2000 until March 31, 2001.
Luigi Palopoli visited EECS to develop, under the supervision of Professor Sangiovanni-Vincentelli, a design procedure for embedded real-time control systems. The main focus of the research will be integrating the constraints on real-time computation resources into the synthesis of the control law when the latter is implemented by means of a multithreaded program. He was here from May 15, 2001 until December 15, 2001.
Yi Shi came to visit EECS as a visiting scholar under Professor Tsu-Jae King. He did research on silicon-based nano devices, especially flash memory. He was here from February 15, 2001 until April 15, 2001.
Mehdad Nori Shirazi came to EECS as a visiting scholar for Professor Avideh Zakhor. He did research on video processing and the internet -- approaching channel coding schemes with receiver feedback in networks. He was here from December 08, 2000 until December 08, 2001.
Joao Sousa came to EECS on February 12, 1996 for Professor Pravin Varaiya to address the investigation of the problem of the motion coordination of multiple AUV's in the context of Hybrid Systems Theory and the implementation of the Controller Structure using DIADEM. He stayed on until December 31, 2001.
