Real-Time Guidance of Mobile Sensor Networks for Marine Monitoring

This project aims to develop guidance, navigation and control algorithms for monitoring of coastal and marine environments with mobile, autonomous sensor platforms – a technology critical to the U.S. and Norway who share the Arctic waters. Localization and control of these platforms are critical for reliable estimation of parameters and for the parsimonious use of limited on-board power, computation and communication resources.
