The overall goal of RAMP is to provide fast, accurate multiprocessor architecture simulators by using FPGAs. Experience with projects like RAMP Blue and Gold has shown that while this is feasible, there is a large amount of straightforward design work, and that the results are not yet flexible enough. The goal of this project is to provide flexibility and remove the drudgery from the simulator construction process by drawing from high level hardware synthesis, parallel computing and domain specific knowledge to generate RAMP style simulators automatically.
