Statistical Analysis of Online News (StatNews)

Laurent El Ghaoui, Babak Ayazifar, Onureena Banerjee and Brian Christopher Gawalt

This project seeks to bring about user-friendly, graphical representations of large amounts of text data obtained from online news. We explore various fundamental problems arising from this goal, involving in particular sparse graphical modeling, online learning, and distributed computations.
