We develop computational algorithms and tools for electronic (e.g., mixed-signal, RF, high-speed digital) and multi-domain (e.g., biological, MEMS, nanoscale) systems and apply them to understand system-level dynamics and to design systems. As such, we work on several types of problems that arise in computational system analysis and design: problems of scale (component and system size), temporal disparity (wide separation of time scales), noise and variability, heterogeneity. This interdisciplinary research is at the confluence of several engineering and scientific disciplines: analog/RF/mixed-signal circuit analysis, VLSI CAD, scientific computing, circuit and system design, nonlinear and linear dynamical systems, MEMS and optical systems, nanodevices, and systems biology.
