Micro-Solar Power Systems for Wireless Sensor Networks

Based on an energy model of micro-solar power systems for wireless sensor networks, we developed the HydroSolar energy harvesting system. Recently, a number of nodes with this system were deployed for the HydroWatch project in an effort to display the long-term, sustainable operation of a wireless sensor network. As an extension of this work, we are also developing a simulator for micro-solar power systems to facilitate future system designs by predicting the interactions among operating ranges and capacities of each component.
