Building on a novel frequency analysis of soft shadows and diffuse indirect lighting, we develop a simple and efficient filter on noisy ray traced images that approaches ground truth renderings. Our filter is accurate, simple, and efficient, allowing for interactive renderings of computationally expensive effects, when coupled with an interactive ray tracer, such as NVIDIA's OptiX.
