Overview
One Unique EECS ProgramIf you're interested in EECS, there is one way to study it. Prospective EECS students apply to the College of Engineering when completing the general University Application. Two Distinct CS ProgramsIf you're interested in Computer Science, there are two ways to study it. Prospective CS students apply either to the College of Letters & Sciences (B.A.) or to the College of Engineering (B.S.) when completing the general university application. The Five Year Bachelor/Master's Program in EECSThis program, initiated in Fall 2006, is only available to Berkeley EECS and CS L&S undergraduates. It is a five year combined Bachelor/Master's program geared toward outstanding and highly motivated students who are attracted to a more "professionally-oriented" program than the traditional research-based course of study. |

What Can I Do With
a Major In...
The Career Center has profiled 77 majors from six of the UC Berkeley colleges. The reports detail what choices graduates made in 2000, 2001, 2002 and 2003 and illustrate that college majors rarely restrict their career or graduate school options. This may give you ideas for career paths to explore that you may not have previously considered.
