EECS Department Reception

Orientation takes place during the first week of classes and is a combined social and informational event. Meet your peers, EECS departmental staff and find out about EECS and campus resources. The Transfer Orientation begins a half hour prior to the reception.

Student Learning Center (SLC)

A free tutoring resource for students enrolled in lower division Math and Computer Science courses. Tutoring and resources are also available in a variety of other areas including writing, ESL, and college-success skills.

Study Guides

The Center for Transfer, Re-entry and Student Parents

TRSP offers a broad range of academic, social, and career support services to a diverse population of students. All transfer students are encouraged to enroll in Education 198 during their first semester.

Education 198: Strategies for Success for Science, Engineering, and Mathematics Transfer Students assists transfer students in making an effective transition to university life. It will introduce you to the numerous resources on campus and help you hone your academic skills.

New Student Services

These folks are a great resource for all your new student needs. They publish the excellent resource guide which contains info on where to find the academic calendar, tutoring, ID cards, health services, where to eat, and much more.

UC Financial Aid Office

FAO provides financial aid, scholarship and work-study information for new and continuing students. Of particular interest is their section for Newly Admitted Students.
