Fall 2013 will be the first time that the part-time MEng degree program will be offered. There is a page in the online application to choose whether you would like to apply for the full-time (one year) or part-time (two-year) program. You need to choose one or the other. The part-time option is for working professionals who wish to take approximately two courses per semester on campus (as opposed to the four courses per semester in the full-time program). The capstone project will be completed in the second year for part-time students.
Note that international students may not apply to the part-time M.Eng. program unless they have a current work visa in the San Francisco Bay Area and maintain employment through the completion of the degree program.
Switching from part-time to full-time (or vice versa) will only be allowed up until Orientation takes place, but not once you have begun the program.
