CONSRT

The Center for Optoelectronic Nanostructured SemiconductoR Technology (CONSRT) is founded by an interdisciplinary team of ten investigators with complementary expertise spanning materials, physics, devices and systems. It is funded under the DARPA University Photonics Research Program with significant industrial and institutional support. Our vision is to advance nanostructured optoelectronic materials and devices to enable breakthrough functionalities in sensing, imaging, processing and communication microsystems with greatly reduced power, size, and weight. The resulting capabilities will enable ubiquitous and intelligent autonomous platform for environment, infrastructure and resources monitoring and control; massive information acquisition, processing and delivery; and efficiency solar energy conversion. These advances in turn will present solutions to the society's most critical needs.

CONSRT's mission is to lay the foundation of next generation photonics technology, advance applications beyond traditional domains and become national resources for expertise and people. To this end, CONSRT is committed to build an effective Partnership Program with US Industries and Government Laboratories to provide Industrial Member companies and Laboratories with early pre-commercial and pre-publication access to important research results, and to foster networking and collaborative relationships with faculty, students and other members in the center to create unique opportunities for commercialization.

CONSRT is a center under CITRIS.

Please join us for a CONSRT poster session on February 23 in 193 Cory from 3:00-5:00 p.m.

During the EECS Annual Research Symposium (BEARS), scientists and engineers will present results of our latest research in nanostructured materials and their new, enabled optoelectronic device applications.
