The VIP Lab at UC Berkeley is focused on 3D systems utilizing a variety of sensors such as cameras, range finders, projectors, gyros, and accelerometers. Examples of projects include (a) laser backpack system for fast, automated modeling of 3D indoor environments; (b) structured light systems for 360 degree capture of dynamic scenes; (c) image based localization with applications to mobile augmented reality.
