Transfers Into Our Graduate Program

We do not have a separate application procedure for applicants who would like to transfer to our program from another graduate program. These applicants should follow our normal application directions.

If one is admitted, at that time and with the approval of your advisor and the Vice Chair, one may petition to transfer up to 4 semester units (6 quarter units) of credit earned while you were in graduate standing at another institution towards an M.S. or up to 16 semester units (24 quarter units) of coursework toward the course requirements for the Ph.D. Units used to complete a bachelor's degree will not be accepted.
