EECS Impacted Courses
It may be advantageous for undergrads admitted to the EECS Five Year Bachelor/Master Program who intend to satisfy some of their breadth requirement with impacted 100 series coursework to do so (at least in part) in the last semester of their senior year (and petition to transfer the credit). This is for two reasons:
- graduate students, for some undergraduate courses, have lower priority than undergraduates, and
- first time graduate students aren't allowed to enroll in classes until just before classes begin (this applies to their first semester only).
For these reasons, it may be difficult to successfully enroll in impacted 100 series courses as a graduate student, and especially difficult in your first semester of graduate study. Careful planning of the final undergraduate semester and the 2 graduate semesters will allow students to circumvent these enrollment challenges.
