Faculty Positions Available
Apply for a posted faculty position as Lecturer-Potential Security of Employment, specializing in teaching computer science, beginning Fall 2014. Appointee will teach undergraduate core courses in Computer Science; CS 61A-B-C are of particular interest (see descriptions at http://www.eecs.berkeley.edu/Students/classes.shtml). The Lecturer-PSOE track at Berkeley parallels the tenure-track for professors: after an initial period of service and formal reviews, incumbent is eligible for promotion to Security of Employment ("SOE"; equivalent to tenure).
Applicants should have completed (or expect to complete by May 15, 2014) a Ph.D. or the equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field. A principal requirement is demonstrated excellence in teaching and leadership.

Applications will be reviewed starting October 1; candidates are urged to apply by that date. The application period closes November 1. Applications received after that cannot be considered. Applicants are responsible for asking recommenders to upload letters . EECS does NOT solicit them directly. Reference letters should be uploaded by November 15, directly via a "URL for recommenders" which will be provided to references by the applicant.
