Dear Friends of Cal,

The UC Berkeley Microfabrication Laboratory ("Microlab") in Cory Hall is a shared cleanroom laboratory (established in 1983) which supports over 500 researchers from

9 UC-Berkeley departments,
4 UC campuses,

3 US national laboratories,
and more than 25 companies.

A new Nanofabrication Laboratory, which will replace the Microlab, is now under construction in the new CITRIS building (to be named Sutardja-Dai Hall) located next to Davis Hall and Cory Hall.

The transition from the Microlab to the new Nanolab (to begin in December 2008) is a major endeavor that will require significant funding (over $4M).  We need your financial support in order to make this happen!

If you would like to make a contribution to the Microlab/Nanolab, to help keep UC Berkeley at the forefront of nanotechnology and nanoscience research, please click here to make a donation online.

Thank you very much for your generous consideration and support!

Microlab Faculty Director
